PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit specific data from a road side resonance circuit, and to identify the position of the road side resonance circuit at a vehicle side in a vehicle position recognizing device in an electromagnetic induction coupling system of a road side resonance circuit and a vehicle side resonance antenna. SOLUTION: In this recognizing device, a capacitor C1 as a reactance for phase modulation is connected through a switch 23 to a road side resonance circuit 21 of a lane marker 20, and the prescribed on/off driving of the switch 23 is operated, based on the specific data of the lane marker 20. Also, a vehicle side transmitting and receiving means is provided with a phase comparator circuit 13 for comparing the phase of a carrier wave with the phase of a modulation wave appearing in the resonance antenna 10, and a lane marker 20 is identified, based on the phase difference data.
