PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cost of manufacturing by reducing a quantity of liquid crystal to be discarded and to prevent contamination of liquid crystal with dust and foreign matters. SOLUTION: While a liquid crystal panel, comprising two liquid crystal substrates stuck together and liquid crystal injected therein via an injection port, is pressurized and subjected to gap adjustment to fix a gap between two liquid crystal substrates to a specified value with a gap adjusting equipment, an edge of a sucking port 93 is located around the injection port to remove liquid crystal by sucking through the injection port by an evacuating force. A device for removing liquid crystal is provided with a vacuum generator 91 generating vacuum with compressed air, a sucking pipe 911, the sucking port 93 on which the evacuating force is exerted via a gas liquid separation unit 95 and an evacuation hose 52, a driving mechanism 94 which locates the edge of the sucking port 93 at a specified position close to the injection port and a controlling unit 90 which controls on-off of sucking operation from the edge of the sucking port 93.
