PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film excellent in weatherability and an agricultural covering material cmploying the film. SOLUTION: At least one side of a polyester film is covered with a coating layer dispersed with a photostabilizing agent. Further, the polyester film is cut longitudinally into tape-like matters so as to knit the tape-like matters as warp or weft into a sheet-like matter. Or the surface of the tape-like matters obtained by longitudinally cutting the polyester film is covered by a coating layer including the photostabilizing agent so as to knit the tape-like matters as warp or weft into a sheet-like matter. Since a coating work is executed under a low working temperature, neither the sublimation nor the heat decomposition of the photostabilizing agent occurs, resulting in allowing to enable to properly use this polyester film and this sheet-like matter as an agricultural covering material because of their having favorable weatherability.
