LIFT FOR LADLE TURLET IN CONTINUOUS CASTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To tap molten metal into a tundish while tilting a ladle at the optimum angle corresponding to the variations of the position of a tap hole and the ladle weight by measuring the ladle weight with the necessary accuracy even at the time of tilting the ladle at the end stage of casting. SOLUTION: The ladle holding the molten metal and supported with a ladle turlet is elevated/lowered and tilted with a hybrid actuator integrally constituted of a hydraulic cylinder 14 arranged on a frame base of the ladle turlet, a hydraulic pump 15 and a motor 16 for driving the hydraulic cylinder 14 and a position detector 17 of the cylinder rod in the hydraulic cylinder 14 and having a function obtaining the ladle weight at the time of casting from a load detection of the hydraulic cylinder 14.
