PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain cellulosic fiber-containing cloth having both of shape- stabilizing performance such as wrinkle resistance or shrinkage resistance and water absorbency. SOLUTION: This cellulosic fiber-containing cloth comprises a cellulosic fiber modified by crosslinking. In the cloth, closslinking index defined by the formula, closslinking index = (A-B) [A is a moisture absorption (%) of cellulosic fiber after crosslinking modification under atmosphere at 30 deg.C and 90% relative humidity and B is a moisture absorption (%) of cellulosic fiber after crosslinking modification under atmosphere at 20 deg.C and 65% relative humidity] is 1-4 and water absorbency measured by JIS L-1096 Byreck method is >=50 mm.
