A writing surface is attached to the base and has opposite side edges that coincide with a periphery of an imaginary circle that is parallel with the writing surface. The support surface is disposed inside the imaginary circle when the support surface is in the raised position and has a front portion that extends outside the periphery of the imaginary circle when the support surface is in the lowered position.
