PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mobile communication system that informs the user of the existence of a standby information in a manner with impact when reproduction standby information such as a short message is in existence. SOLUTION: A control section discriminates whether or not reproduction standby information is stored in a RAM (S2) when a flip is open (YES in S1). When the RAM stores the reproduction standby information, the control section displays a window menu including an icon corresponding to the reproduction standby information on a display screen. In the case that plural pieces of the reproduction standby information are in existence, the control section displays plural icons in the window menu. Then the user operates cursor keys to set a cursor on any icon and to operate a memory key, and the user can reproduce the reproduction standby information corresponding to the selected icon.
