PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve magnetic characteristics using a stable reducing agent by reducing Fe2O3 powder under the presence of at least one type of compound being selected from hydrazinoalcohols that are expressed by a specific formula and its salts. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing Fe3O4 magnetic powder, hydrazinoalcohols that are expressed by HORNHNH2 (R indicates a straight chain with 1-8 carbons or a branch alkylene group) are used as a reducing agent, and hydrazinemethanol, 1-hydrazineethanol, 2-hydrazineethanol, or the like and their inorganic salts, organic salts, or the like are used as the salts. Also, a carboxylic acid is used, and oxalic acid, benzoic acid, maleic acid anhydride, acrylic acid, or the like is used for its anhydride. Also, 4-hydrazinebutanol and its hydrochloride, sulfate, phosphonate, and sulfaminate are used as its polymer. Then, the hydrazinoalcohols are produced by allowing alcohol halide to react with hydrazine. |
