PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the position of a rotor by a simple circuit configuration, without providing a position detecting sensor by detecting the position of the rotor from the frequency value of a resonance frequency generated by an oscillating circuit. SOLUTION: A Colpitts oscillating circuit is used as an oscillation circuit 20, and oscillated signal is input to an f/V conversion circuit 17. Then in a rotation position detection circuit 18, an input f/V converted voltage is compared in size to a preset voltage, and a rotation position detection voltage is output. As a result of this, f/V converted voltage can be varied over a broad range, and the position of rotor salient pole can be detected accurately with a low-cost circuit configuration. Also, the position of the rotor is detected by a voltage or the number of pulses converted from a signal conversion circuit and also by the voltage or the number of pluses predetermined in response to the position of the rotor, so that a compact and high-reliability rotor position detecting device can be obtained. |
