PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink tank cartridge capable of being detachably attached to an ink jet device. SOLUTION: This ink jet cartridge 3D comprises a negative pressure generating member housing section 53 having an air ventilating section and an ink housing section 56 for directly housing ink to be supplied to the negative pressure generating member housing section 53 substantially in an airtight condition. The ink housing section 56 communicates with the negative pressure generating member housing section 53 via only an ink passage 57 provided in a position away from the air ventilating section. The negative pressure generating member housing section 53 and ink containing section 56 are adjacent with each other. A housing section 9 which communicates only with the ink housing section 56 is provided in each of side faces of the respective housing sections 53, 56. The ink passage 57 is formed between a rib 54 partitioning the housing section 53 with the housing section 56 and the inner face of the ink jet cartridge. The bottom face of the ink housing section 9 is positioned higher than each bottom face of the respective housing section 53, 56. |
