PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect a front retainer type waterproof connector by diverting a conventional device as much as possible. SOLUTION: A seal checker 20 of an inspection part 14 is arranged so as to be relatively displaceable with a block body 14a. The seal checker 20 integrally carries a retainer detecting piece 21, and joins with a waterproof packing 5 in an inspection to check sealing performance of a connector C. The seal checker 20 interlocks with relative displacement of the inspection part 14 and a connector holding part 13 by an interlocking means 30. Thus, the retainer detecting piece 21 is housed in the block body 14a when retreated, and also inspects the existence of a retainer 4 by projecting from the block body 14a at inspection time.
