PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmission device for a person handicapped in sight which enables the person to surely read braille patterns even if without moving the fingers in the transverse direction. SOLUTION: This device has a braille dot means 18 which has plural retractable dot parts and is capable of emerging the braille patterns by controlling the retraction state of these dot parts, a moving means 19 for moving the braille dot means 18 in the direction transverse with the retraction direction of the dot parts and a control means 20 for controlling the retraction state of the dot parts of the braille dot means 18 and the movement of the braille dot means 18 by the moving means 19. The braille patterns are transversely moved instead of moving the fingers.
