PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent color image recording device having an intermediate transfer part structured small and simple being supreme in maintenance property and an intermediate transfer belt unit used for the same. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an intermediate transfer belt unit 2 which houses an intermediate transfer belt 3 capable of successively transferring respective color image from a photoreceptor 18 and arranged opposite to the photoreceptor 18, and plural rollers 4, 5 and 6 for supporting the intermediate transfer belt 3, is constituted in freely attachably and detachably with respect to the device main body. The device is provided with a housing part for freely detachably housing the intermediate transfer belt unit 2 and for fixing the intermediate transfer belt 3 on the transfer position. Moreover, the device is allowed to dispose open/closing part 1A, located in front of the device, capable of drawing or inserting the intermediate transfer belt unit 2 from or into the housing part in the direction orthogonal to the rotary shaft of the photoreceptor 18.
