The collector includes a common cavity and a plurality of primary pipes having a first cross-sectional area at their outlet ends and second cross-sectional area at an upstream location, the first cross-sectional area being less than the second cross-sectional area, with the primary pipes being in direct contact with the common cavity of the collector and further arranged to include a single central pipe with the remainder of the pipes spaced around the central pipe, with the outlet of the central pipe being formed as a conically tapering portion and the outer wall of the central pipe forming part of the inner wall of the remainder of the pipe.
