PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fat replacement food never involved in losing a cream-like tongue touch inherent in fat by replacing the fat component in a fat component containing food with a specific substance. SOLUTION: This fat replacement food is obtained by replacing part or the whole of the fat component in a fat component containing food with maltitol, whose amount may be set sufficient for the maltitol to present its own taste. The food having its fat component of <=80 wt.% may be selected from the group consisting of brownies, pie filings, frozen desserts, salad dressings, spreads, cakes, cookies, powdered beverages and fat containing foods other than the above. |
