PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device capable of much more reducing the consumption of energy in a four wheel drive type vehicle wherein either one of a front wheel driving system or a rear wheel driving system is driven by an engine, and the other one is driven by an electric motor. SOLUTION: When it is determined by a road surface condition judging means (driving force reducing condition judging means) 64 that the driving force of each driving wheel (front wheel 20) has bee been reduced by a traction control means 60, and, when it is determined by a running condition judging means 66 that a running condition has been in a condition capable of advancing a four wheel drive vehicle, namely, when it is determined that a vehicle speed has been accelerated, since the operation of an electric motor (MG) 28 is prohibited by a prohibiting means 68, the consumption of energy is much more reduced. |
