PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steady brace device preventing a door in a limit closed position from swaying inside of an opening opened and closed by the door. SOLUTION: This steady brace device for a door comprises an engaged part 25 in the form of an internal angle of a door 23, an engagement member 12 supported at one end against the side of the floor opposite to the engaged part 25 of the closed door 23, in such a manner that the engagement member 22 can oscillate vertically between a collapsed position and an inclined position wherein its end engages the engaged part 25. The magnet 26 raises the engagement member 12 from the collapsed position to the inclined position by a magnetic attracting force working between it and the engagement member 12, bringing its end into engagement with the engaged part 25 of the door to prevent the door 23 from moving inward from a limit closed position. The door 23 and the engagement member 12 are provided respectively with a recess part 30 and a projection 31 which fit together in an almost vertical direction while in a state in which they can be separated from each other by forcibly opening the door 23, with the engaged part 25 engaged with the end of the engagement member 12.
