PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device capable of forming the images of plural parts in a short time and an image formation method capable of efficiently compressing and expanding image data. SOLUTION: In this image formation device provided with an image data input means, an image processing means for compressing and expanding obtained image data and an output means for forming supplied data for output to a material to be recorded, the image data are constituted of a prescribed unit constituted of plural pixel data and the image processing means stores an output unrequired unit constituted of pixels without the need of being outputted in the output means among the prescribed units at the time of compressing the image data, detects the output unrequired unit at the time of decoding and does not expand the output unrequired unit. The pixels without the need of being outputted are white pixels and a row is prefereable for a repetition unit.
