PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helmet mounted display apparatus for automatically indicating the speed of two-wheeled vehicle only when a driver requires. SOLUTION: This helmet mounted display apparatus 10 is equipped with a speed sensor 12 for detecting the speed V of a two-wheeled vehicle, a display part 16 for indicating the speed V detected by the speed sensor 12 through a light transmission part face of a helmet and with a control part 18 for determining whether or not the speed V is indicated on the display part 16 correspondingly by to the speed V detected by the speed sensor 12.
