PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an alloy of whiteness with luster higher than that of white gold, having high hardness, excellent in workability and having corrosion resistance by allowing the alloy to contain specified ratios of Au, Pt, Pd and Ag. SOLUTION: This alloy is an alloy composed of 75 to 75.5% Au, 4 to 18% Pt, 2 to 11% Pd and 2 to 11% Ag. Or, it is an alloy composed of 75 to 75.5% Au, 4 to 18% Pt, 2 to 11% Pd, 2 to 10% Ag and 1 to 5% Cu. Moreover, it is an alloy composed of 75 to 75.5% Au, 4 to 18% Pt, 2 to 11% Pd, 2 to 11% Ag and <=3% Sn and/or In. Furthermore, it is an alloy composed of 75 to 75.5% Au, 4 to 18% Pt, 2 to 11% Pd, 2 to 10% Ag, 1 to 5% Cu and <=3% Sn and/or In. This alloy for decoration is used as a worked material such as a wire rod, a sheet material, a tube material or the like by executing rolling or drawing or is used as-cast.
