PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily supply a raw material to a raw material canister by opening and closing the upper cover of the canister with a simple one operation while attaching the cover to a main body container without detaching the cover. SOLUTION: This raw material canister 2 is constituted by cutting the upper face of a main body container 2b incorporated with a raw material discharging mechanism forward-obliquely and covering an upper cover 8 thereon, and is installed at the deep side of an upper part in the cabinet storage of an automatic vending machine. The side parts of the front and back edges of the upper cover are hinge-connected trough a hinge shaft 2c and a hinge shaft hole 8a with a main body container so as to be freely openable and closeable, and a level-type grip 8b is set at the hinge side front edge part of the upper cover, and a stopper 2d for restraining and holding the upper cover at an open position is provided at the main body container side so as to be faced to the grip. Then, at the time of supplying the raw material, the upper cover is opened and closed by manually operating the grip, and the upper cover is restrained and held at the open position by hooking the grip over the stopper.
