PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a sense of incongruity in operation of varying a moving amount of a zoom lens. SOLUTION: Based on the moving amount signal in the X-Y direction outputted from a zoom lens moving amount varying switch 26, a CPU 25 outputs a signal to move a moving point P1 in the X-Y direction on a display 27. Moreover, the CPU 25 determines a curve passing through a center point, namely, an original point O1, an end point O2, and the moving point P1, to use the curve as an arithmetic expression for determining a relation between a manipulated variable of a zooming operation lever and a moving amount of the zoom lens, and displays a zoom lens moving amount curve C1 on the display 27. Since an output signal of an operational amplifier 24 varies with the movement of a sliding part 21 of a potentiometer 18 linked with the zooming operation lever, the CPU 25 coverts the output signal by the arithmetic expression to determine the relationship between the manipulated variable of the zooming operation lever and the moving amount of the zoom lens, to drive the zoom lens driving circuit 28.
