PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation method for aqueous dispersion of polyether sulfone(PES) comprising micronized colloidal particles excellent in dispersion by a simple manufacturing process. SOLUTION: This aqueous dispersion of a polyester sulfone is obtained by addition mixing an aqueous solvent (alcohol, glycol, ketone, ester, etc.), soluble in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone(NMP) or dimethylacetamide with a solution obtained by dissolving PES in NMP or dimethylacetamide or these mixture, followed by addition mixing an aqueous solution containing a surfactant. The dispersion comprises a colloidal particle having the average particle size of not more than 1μm.
