PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation process for liquid containing egg yolk that can be readily used as a culture medium component without the need for any pretreatment. SOLUTION: Liquid yolk are sterilized at 55-67 deg.C for 1-30 minutes, a vessel is filled with the germ-free yolk liquid containing the sterilized yolk liquid, tightly sealed. Then, the tightly sealed vessel is stored at 0-15 deg.C for 12 hours-7 days and is irradiated with 2-40 kGy of ionizing radiation to give the objective sterilized egg yolk liquid for culture media. |
