PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the performance of a packaging machine by making it usable at a lower position relative to stacked articles to be packaged. SOLUTION: This apparatus for supplying articles 2 that should be packaged to a packaging machine has two transfer means 5, 6 for moving the articles 2 along the same movement path. One of both the transfer means has greater speed than that of the other one. The one of the transfer means transfers the article up to an intermediate position, and this article is further moved therefrom by the subsequent step that the other transfer means pushes and moves another article toward the preceding article.
