PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely engage a head part of a thread with a fastening member in the suction of the thread by comprising an elastic body for energizing the fastening member toward the fastening thread, between the fastening member and a driving force transmitting member in a device where the fastening thread is sucked to the fastening member such as a driver bit or the like. SOLUTION: A thread taken out from a lower part of a hopper storing a plurality of threads is stored in a storing part of a holding means one by one through an aligning means, and the thread stored in this storing part is held by a vis chuck formed by a pair of arms. A thread fastening device is descended in this state, so that the thread is sucked to a point of a hollow cylindrical driver bit 3 having a hexagonal recessed part on its point as the fastening member. On this occasion, a coil spring 2 is fitted in a bottomed hollow cylindrical part formed on one end side of a driving shaft of a driving force transmitting member mounted in a housing of the thread fastening device, and the driver bit 3 is energized to the point side by this coil spring 2 at all times to surely suck the thread.
