PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a following-up device for materials to be bent in a press brake with which the warpage of the material to be bent is prevented and various kinds of thick articles are bent accurately efficiently safely at high workability. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a fixed table 2e which is fixed on a mounting base 1, on which the component 5b of one side of a hinge 5 to which a supporting table 9 on which one end side 19h of the material to be bent is placed is fixed is placed, slide plate 3 which is arranged on the mounting base 1 freely movably forward and backward and adjustably to the fixed table 2e, hinge mounting table 4 on the top of which the component plate 5a of the hinge 5 is fixed and which is provided freely ascendably and descendably with a prescribed interval in the backward and forward direction with respect to the fixed table 2e and retaining die 17 which is lowered in synchronism with an upper die 18 and with which the hinge 5 and its mounting table 4 are pressed down, the fixed table 2e and hinge mounting table 4 are taken as the same height as a lower die and the width (e) between both tables 2e, 4 is constituted adjustably so as to be same as the width of a V-groove.
