PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extremely quickly achieve change of a driver bit. SOLUTION: The thread fastening machine is provided with a coupling shaft 9 which is driven by a motor to rotate and which is driven by an air cylinder to reciprocate, and a driver bit 12 removably held by a holding mechanism 13 is coupled to the coupling shaft 9. On the other hand, the driver bit 12 and the coupling shaft 9 are involved in a guiding member 11, and a chuck unit 20 capable of holding a thread on the moving path of the driver bit 12 is coupled to the guiding member 11. Further, cut-out windows 11a, 11a are opened at positions on the guiding member 11, which correspond to the holding mechanism 13, and the holding mechanism 13 is adapted to be capable of operation from the cut-out windows 11a, 11a.
