PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out proper compensation even if thermal stress with high compensation resistance is applied by arranging a circuit storing a compensation parameter for performing a predetermined correction and connecting the circuit to a compensation resistor compensating a spread of current to a measuring cell. SOLUTION: An oxygen linear sensor examination device measuring exhaust gas from an automobile engine is provided with a compensation resistor 25 compensating a spread of pumping current Ip supplied to a cell 12 in a general- purpose exhaust gas oxygen sensor 1. A trapping circuit 26 connected to the compensation resistor 25 is used for compensating a spread of current Ip. A parameter RCOMP related to the compensation circuit 25 is computed according to a predetermined method, and then, it is fed to a memory circuit 27. After engine ignition, the parameter RCOMP is stored in the memory circuit 27, and during the engine operation, the same parameter RCOMP is used, so that a proper output signal Vout can be provided even if the compensation resistor 25 placed in an engine space is affected by influence of a temperature change in the engine. |
