SOLUTION: Position of each rafter 12 is marked on a roof surface, and a support member 1 is installed on the roof surface. Next, a fixing device 3 at the eaves side is fixed to the position of a rafter 12 marked in advance. Then, at the ridge side of the fixing device 3, a solar cell module 2 closest to the eaves side is placed on the top of support member 1. At this time, a side edge portion at the eaves side of the solar cell module 2 contacts a raised portion 3b of the fixing device, the movement in roof flow direction is restricted so that the solar cell module 2 does not fall. Thus, the attaching is easy even when the interval of laying does not match the roof rafter, and the distance between the solar cell module and roof surface can be made smaller.
