<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a harmful substance to be treated such as exhaust gas, fly ash and incineration ash discharged from a waste incineration furnace or industrial waste oil or an agrochemical residue. SOLUTION: A substance to be treated such as exhaust gas, fly ash or incineration ash or industrial waste oil or agrochemical residue is dissolved in a nonaprotic soln. in which a support electrolyte is dissolved and, by performing constant potential or constant current electrolysis by oxidation potential of +1.5 V or more or reduction potential of -2.0 V or less, a harmful substance can be electrochemically decomposed to a safe low molecular compd. within a short time in an energy saving manner.</p> |
