PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prepreg which shows a low coefficient of liner expansion and a low water absorption rate by compounding a base material formed of a polybenzazole fiber and a curable epoxy resin composition. SOLUTION: A prepreg is obtained by compounding a base material formed of polybenzasol fiber and a curable epoxy resin composition. The polybenzasol fiber is a fiber made of a polybenzasol polymer, and the fiber comes in the form of woven fabric and/or nonwoven fabric such as roving cloth, cloth, a chopped mat or surfacing mat. The curable epoxy resin composition is a curable resin composition containing epoxy resin as a component. Various types of curing agent are used for the epoxy resin and these are such as a polyamine, a polymercaptan, an anionic polymerization catalyst, a cationic polymerization catalyst and a potential type. |
