PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device excellent in a durability and performance which has the transmission and interception function of a drive force and also can intercept the torque transmission acting to a compressor side drive shaft perfectly when a compressor side load torque becomes excessive. SOLUTION: When a fluid is sent out from a fluid source 60 by a plunger pump 61, balls 71 are pushed by a piston 50 and moved to a radius direction outside and a power transmission pin 70 is moved to the radius direction outside of a rotary shaft 2. The power transmission pin 70 is engaged with a hole 80 and the drive force from an engine is transmitted to the rotary shaft 2 and a pulley 9 and the rotary shaft 2 are rotated integrally. When the fluid is sucked in the fluid source 60 by the plunger pump 61, the power transmission pin 70 is moved to the radius direction inside and the drive force from the engine is not transmitted to the rotary shaft 2 and then the pulley 9 is raced. Meantime, as the engagement between the power transmission pin 70 and the hole 80 is come off, the torque acting to the rotary shaft 2 is perfectly intercepted.
