PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the data transfer control unit which can minimize the labor and time required for operations of a data owner and a data requester at the time of data transfer by a decentralized type computer system and correctly transfer data always at the time when the data requester requests at the time of periodic transfer type data transfer. SOLUTION: On a data management computer 1-1, a data transfer information file 3-1 in which transfer information on transfer dates and times, and transfer sources and destinations of respective pieces of transfer data is unitarily registered is provided. The transfer information is registered, for example, on-line by, for example, a data administrator or users (data requester) of respective computers. Further, A control program 2-1 which instructs a transfer program on each computer to perform transfer according to a data transfer information file 301 is loaded onto the data management computer 1-1. The transfer program on each computer performs the prescribed transfer process according to the indication from the control program 2-1. The transfer program, therefore, need not be structured by a user at each time to greatly save the labor and time.
