PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a record display medium high in brightness and capable of displaying high in contrast with a background and excellent in visibility. SOLUTION: In a record display medium 8 in which a liquid crystal layer 3 is provide on an electrode substrate 4 in which a transparent electrode layer 2 is provided on a substrate 1, the substrate 1 has light diffusibility, is a resin film and uses the film in which air bubbles 7 are diffuse. Therefore, since the refractive index of the air bubble 7 contained in the resin film being the substrate 1 is quite low in incident light from the outside of the record display medium 8 without using backlight, the light scattering occurs actively at the interface between the air bubble and the resin or between the air bubble and a particulate pigment and in the display of the liquid crystal, the brightness and the contrast with a background become high, and the visibility becomes excellent.
