PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a member installed to protect wiring so as to be effectively utilizable after letting rainwater or the like hard to be scattered on this wiring set up in an air space in the upper part of a crankcase. SOLUTION: In this engine, a cylinder body 3 is projected toward rearward aslant from a crankcase 2. Likewise a platelike tank mounting part 33 is projected toward upward from a front part of the crankcase 2. Then, the front side of an upper space part 20 of the crankcase 2 is covered with the tank mounting part 33, while a connecting part 35 installed in the lower part of a fuel tank 4 is made connectible to a boss 31 installed in an upper end part of the tank mounting part 33.
