PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain feelings of softness, solidity, thickness and stability by mixing an electrodeposition coating material with a coloring pigment into a matte electrodeposition coating material without a specific coloring pigment, retaining an original metallic feeling when coating an aluminum material. SOLUTION: This electrodeposition coating material comprises a mixture of an electrodeposition coating material containing a coloring pigment and an electrodeposition coating material containing an acrylic resin having an alkoxysilyl group at a side chain, and an amino resin without a coloring pigment, wherein a content of the coloring pigment is 0.5-10 wt.% to that of the total resins. The electrodeposition coating material with the coloring pigment comprises the resin having mainly a carboxyl group as a base and is an anodic deposition type one composed of neutralization and water solubilization by a basic compound, which contains about 1-60 wt.% of a hydrophobic compound (e.g. 2-ethylhexanol) having not more than 7% of solubility to water. For the matte electrodeposition coating material without the coloring pigment, it is preferable to use 30-120 pts.wt. of the amino resin (e.g. a melamine resin) to 100 pts.wt. of the acrylic resin.
