PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a page throughput by carrying out a memory management task to data of a memory after detecting a state of the memory while the present page is being constituted, without waiting for the completion of imaging of a page already constituted. SOLUTION: Data of pages 110, 115 being constituted at present are stored in a memory of a page printer. Data of at least one page among constituting pages 125, 130, 135, 140, 145 waiting for imaging is stored in the memory of the page printer. When a predetermined state of the memory because of a memory allocation fault, falling in a memory insufficiency state threshold value or the like is detected, at least one specific memory management task is carried out to the data of the memory without waiting for the completion of imaging of the page 145 being video imaged at present and without waiting for flashing of a page pipe 120. A page throughput is thus improved.
