PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an esophagus probe keeper that can prevent the position difference of an ultrasonic wave transmitting and receiving part of an esophagus probe inserted into a body to be detected, and an ultrasonic diagnostic device. SOLUTION: An esophagus probe keeper 50 has a joint arm connected in series constituted by 4 arms of 56, 57, 58, 59 through rotatable slidable joints 51, 52, 53, and a handle keeper 55 that is rotatably installed in the arm 59 through a rotatable joint 54 and detachably keeps an operation handle 32 of an esophagus probe 30. The arm 56 can be inserted into the outlet 12 of an ultrasonic diagnostic device 10 and the fixture S for operation table on an operation table T. By this manner, position and posture of the ultrasonic wave transmitting and receiving part can be kept even through the operator does not keep the operation handle in hand. If the esophagus probe keeper is installed on the operation table, the space occupied by the operation table is saved. And if it is installed in the main body of the ultrasonic diagnostic device, it can be used in sickroom or diagnosis room.
