PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily manufacture holographic stereograms of different types by selecting and using one from among plural reference light irradiation means corresponding to a holographic stereogram to be manufactured. SOLUTION: Object light L3 is reflected by a total reflection mirror 34 and is made incident on a display device 37 through a special filter 35 and a collimator lens 36. The object light L3 is modulated according to the image displayed on this display device 37, is then transmitted through a projection lens 38 and a cylindrical lens 39 and is made incident on a recording medium 10 for holograms from a protective layer side. Reference light L4 is transmitted through a cylindrical lens 40 and a collimator lens 41 and is made incident on a second half mirror 42. The first reference light L4a transmitted through the second half mirror 42 is reflected by a total reflection mirror 43, is made incident on a light introducing block 30 from a light introducing block 30a and is made incident on the recording medium 10 for holograms from a substrate side.
