摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize direct injection electrification excellent in electrification uniformity and stable over a long term even in the case of using a simple member as an electrifying member in contact electrification by constituting the electrifying member of an elastic foaming body consisting of open cells on the surface of which electrification accelerating particles are carried. SOLUTION: The contact electrifying member 2 opposed to a photoreceptor 1 is an electrifying roller constituted of a core bar 2a and a middle resistance layer 2b consisting of open cells. The surface of the roller 2 is previously coated with the electrification accelerating particles(conductive particles) 22. The roller 2 comes in contact with the photoreceptor drum 1 in a state where it forms a specified nip width with a specified pressing force against elasticity. By setting the resistance value of the particles 22 to <=1×1012 (Ω.cm), the uniform and stable electrification is realized in the direct injection electrification. By setting the particle size of the particles 22 to be >=10 nm and equal to or under the size of one pixel, an excellent image which does not obstruct exposure is obtained by an image forming device.
