PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten hygroscopic property (water absorption) to favorably absorb sweat or the like and to secure comfortable feeling of use by using forming material containing specified amounts of cellulose acetate, starch, CaCo3 or talc as a filling material for a pillow to be packed in a cloth bag. SOLUTION: A pillow 20 is manufactured by packing a lot of filling material 10 for the pillow made of a biodegradable resin in the inside of a cloth bag 21. Cotton having god hygroscopicity is used as a raw material for the cloth bag 21. A forming material containing 40-90 pts.wt. cellulose acetate, 10-20 pts.wt. of starch containing 1-8 wt.% water, and 5-25 pts.wt. of CaCo3 or talc is used as the filling material for a pillow. The forming material is formed like a cylinder, preferably having a cavity in the interior by extrusion molding using an extrusion molding machine, and the surface of the outside has high roughness to be rough to the touch. The pillow thus formed can effectively absorb sweat or the like provide comfortable feeling of use.
