<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a uniform surface conduction type electron emitting element in which element electrodes having a uniform film thickness are formed on a large area easily at a low cost, an electron source board fitted with such electron emitting element, an image forming device, and methods for manufacturing them. SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for an electron emitting element having an electron emission part 5 in part of a conductive thin film 4 to generate communication between a pair of element electrodes 2 and 3 on an insulating base board 1, consists of forming first the conductive thin film 4 by applying liquid drops onto the board 1, followed by formation of the element electrodes 2 and 3.</p> |
