PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicolor thermosensitive recording material having little mixture in a developed color tone at the time of printing at a low temperature in the case of color developing at a high temperature and small fog of a skin by color developing in multicolors having different color tones according to a difference of heating conditions from a thermal head. SOLUTION: In the thermosensitive recording material comprising a support, a thermosensitive color developing layer or a multicolor thermosensitive color developing layer formed on the support and containing at least one type of dye precursor and a color developing compound for color developing in reaction with the precursor at the time of heating in such a manner that, after preserving for 100 hr in an environment of 55 deg.C and 90% R.H., whiteness of a non-image part is 70% or more. In this case, as the precursor, at least one type selected from 3-diethylamino-7-chlorofluoran, 3,3'-bis(1-n-butyl-2-methylindole-3-yl)phthalide, and 3-(N-ethyl-N-isoamylamino)-7-phenoxyfluoran is preferably used, and the compound is preferably 2,4-di(benzenesulfonyl)phenol. |
