PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent incomplete fitting (a half fitting state) of a male connector housing and a female connector housing. SOLUTION: An electric connector has a repulsive means for biasing both female/male connector housings 11, 12 in the separating direction when fitting both female/male connector housings 11, 12. In this case, the repulsive means biases repulsion force between the female/male connector housings in the whole process where fitting of both female/male connector housings 11, 12 is locked by the lock means from a contact starting position of respective electric contactors installed in both female/male connector housings 11, 12.
