PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a work condition in a self process based on a curvature data and an estimation value of curvature change of a lens worked in a preceding process, so that the lens without a curvature change can be stably ground or polished. SOLUTION: In the case of adjustingΔH of rough grinding by the number of works N1 (S03), theΔH after curve generator adjusting is measured (S05), from a value of this measured value DH01x,ΔH (DH11) by the number of works N1 in an accurate grinding process (S12), andΔH(DH10) by the number of works N0 (S11), accurate grindingΔH (DH12y) by the number of works N2 is calculated and estimated (S13), when a value of this estimation value DH12y is in the reference value (S14), work is left as it is, to be continued (S15), and when the value is out of the reference value (S14),a relative position of a lens and a tool in an accurate grinding process is changed based on the estimation value DH12y in the point of time of the number of the works N1 (S16), and the work is continued (S15). In this way,ΔH in a self process can be stably worked by preventing a curvature change in the self process.
