PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate made of a raw material mainly containing paper material and to manufacture a dense laminate without conducting a step of compressing or the like by constituting to connect beads made of a foamed material having pulp as a skeleton to a base material via a thermoplastic resin layer containing foamable particles provided on the surfaces of the beads. SOLUTION: Plup foamed beads made of a foamed material having pulp as a skeleton are formed on a base material. A coating layer is provided on a surface of the base material. As a resin to be coated, a mixture of a thermoplastic resin and foamabel particles is used. As the thermoplastic resin, a polyethylene resin or the like is used. As the particles, a thermally expansible microcapsule in which a low boiling point solvent is sealed is used. A suitable amount of such pulp foamed beads is laminated on the base material, heated to a temperature adapted to melt adherence of the used resin or to expansion of the particles, the particles are expanded, the resin is melted, thereafter cooled to bond the beads to the base material.
