METHOD OF AND DEVICE FOR CHARGING LOOSE MATERIAL INTO ROTATING HEARTH FURNACE

FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of charging loose material into conveyor belt of rotating hearth furnace provided with jacket covering conveyor belt and forming a ring. Loose material is loaded onto transporting device in layer of variable thickness in width directly proportional to distance from center of furnace and forming tapering of cross section towards center of furnace. Surface of material is levelled up, and material is loaded onto conveyor machine at speed of transporting device equal to triple speed of conveyor belt. Device for loading loose material onto transporting device and levelling up device are provided. Levelling up device is arranged over transporting device at angle relative to furnace axis. Cross-section of levelling up device is constant. Transporting device is made for control of speed in inverse proportion to height of loose material layer on transporting device or conveyor belt of furnace. EFFECT: enhanced loading of loose material onto endless conveyor belt to provided different height of loose material. 11 cl, 2 dwg
