PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal polyester resin composition having functions such as a gas barrier property and further low temperature processability in addition to excellent mechanical properties and heat resistance, to provide a film comprising the liquid crystal polyester resin composition, and to provide a method for producing the film. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal polyester resin composition comprises (α) a liquid crystal polyester as a continuous phase and (β) a copolymer having functional groups reactive with the liquid crystal polyester as a dispersed phase. Therein, the liquid crystal polyesterαcomprises a copolymer having aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid units, aromatic dicarboxylic acid units and aromatic diol units, and contains the repeating units of the formula A in an amount of >=30 mol.% based on the total repeating units.
