PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a vibration isolation structure for a cutting tool holding of a machine tool. SOLUTION: A vibration isolation boring bar holder 1 has a shank part 10 and a holder main unit 20 connected to the shank part. An internal diametric part 22 of the holder main unit 20 holds a boring bar T1. A vibration isolation member 50 is fitted in an external diametric part 26 of the holder main unit 20, to be tightened and fixed by a ring nut 60. A clearance of about 0.2 mm as a diameter is provided between an outside diametric part of the holder main unit 20 and an inside diametric part 53 of the vibration isolation member 50, and a groove 56 is formed in the inside diametric part of the vibration isolation member. The ring nut 60 gives a pre-load to an O ring 80 as an elastic member, and a space sealed by the O ring 80 is charged with oil to constitute a damper.
